Cup Cake Day

Here is a recipe for cup cakes (from the Edmonds Cook Book).
125g butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/2 cup caster sugar
2 eggs
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 cup milk

Cream butter, vanilla and sugar until light and fluffy. add eggs one at a time, beating well. Sift flour and baking powder together. Fold int the creamed mixture. Stir in the milk. Place 18 paper patty cases on a tray. Spoon mixture evenly into cases. Bake at 190 C for about 15 minutes or until cakes spring back when lightly touched. Cool. Decorate when cold.
